A lecturer discussing stress raised a glass of water and asked, “How heavy is this glass of water?”
The answers called out ranged from 20g to 500g.
The lecturer replied, ”The actual weight doesn’t matter. It depends on how long you try to hold it.
If I hold it for a minute, that’s not a problem.
If I hold it for an hour, I’ll have an ache in my right arm.
If I hold it for a day, you’ll have to call an ambulance.
In each case, it’s the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes.”
And that’s the way it is with stress.
“If we carry our issues all the time, sooner or later, as the burden of them becomes increasingly heavy, we won’t be able to carry on.”
“As with the glass of water, you have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again. When we’re refreshed, we can carry on again.”
“So, before you go to sleep tonight, put your challenges from the day aside. Don’t carry them through the night. You can pick them up tomorrow. Whatever burdens you’re carrying, let them go for now.”
Life is greater and more than our “challenges.” If you can let go – even for a moment – “like” this and then let’s all have an awesome today and tomorrow!

Violets are the visionaries and communicators on the planet. They sense they have a big purpose — to help save the planet or change it for the better, to help improve the quality of life for people, to inspire people, to spread important messages, and to educate the masses. They can be the most dramatic and intense of all the Love Colors, often choosing the toughest, most challenging paths in life.
These independent souls typically choose to work for themselves, create their own projects, or take leadership positions. They need freedom. Many become inspirational leaders and compassionate humanitarians. Violets are often drawn to careers in media, entertainment, art, music, literature, psychology, teaching, ministry, politics, and law, and to humanitarian or environmental causes. Global thinkers, they love to travel. They love music — the universal language. Violets are often famous. They are also frequently seen as being unrealistic dreamers. They need to feel passionate about life, their work, and their ambitions, otherwise they feel something important is missing in their lives.
In power, Violets are dynamic, powerful, and inspiring. They see the big picture. They want to jump from step one to step fifty without having to deal with all the steps and details in between. People tend to be drawn to the insights and wisdom of Violets, and so they place them in positions of power and leadership. Violets are tolerant of others’ differences — cultural, spiritual, and political — knowing that each has a different path to travel. Often intuitive or psychic themselves, they tend to be able to clearly perceive other people, seeing past the outer masks into their hearts and motivating them to live their truth and true potential.
When Violets are focused, they are unstoppable in their ability to influence people and events. They tend to multitask. And they want money for the freedom it gives them — so they can fulfill their great visions.
Out of power, Violets can be arrogant, impatient, critical, and self-absorbed. They can become frustrated with shortsighted, narrow-minded people. Some lose faith in their dreams and their visions, which causes them to feel scattered and to be confused about which path to take next. They then feel unfulfilled, lost, and often depressed. Violets are so intense and feel such deep emotions that, when they lose their way, they can become despondent and unreachable. Often unconsciously, they empathetically take on the pain of people around the planet. It is common for Violets to feel that they will never live their dreams, and that they are outcasts who do not belong on the planet.
Blue aura colors are the most emotional, nurturing, and supportive personalities among the Love Colors. Their highest priorities are love and spirituality. Living predominantly from their hearts, they tend to cry easily. They cry when they are happy, sad, angry, or hurt, and any time in between.
Their purpose for being on the planet is to give love and to be in service to others. Blue aura colors are often teachers, counselors, and nurses — the caretakers on the planet. In power, Blue aura colors are unconditionally loving and accepting of others — they will give people ninety-nine second chances. People tend to turn to Blues for comfort and counsel. Blue aura colors tend to be wonderful givers, but they often lack the sense of self-worth that enables them to receive. Blues are also the most intuitive and psychic of the Love Colors. There is no apparent logic behind their inner feelings and insights. They just “know” things.
Blue aura colors are loyal to their partners, families, and friends and need to bond emotionally with their mates. They cherish being in long-term, committed, monogamous relationships but will often stay in unhealthy, unfulfilling, and even abusive relationships much longer than they should. It is easy for others to take them for granted.
The lesson that Blue aura colors most often need to learn is that they are lovable. Out of power, they usually have low self-esteem and can easily become victims, martyrs, and doormats. They suffer the most when they feel abandoned and unloved — they can feel intensely sorry for themselves and become very depressed.
Although there are exceptions, Blue aura colors tend to be females or gay men. If you meet a heterosexual male whom you believe is a Blue, he is more likely a Yellow or a Yellow/Violet combination.
Green Aura Colors are incredibly intelligent and quick, and they are drawn to money and power. Typically, they are found in the business world and are some of the sharpest and most accomplished people on the planet. They are movers and shakers, often workaholics. They process information and ideas quickly. Projects that are too detailed bore them. They prefer instead to develop an idea, organize a plan, and then delegate the details to someone else.
In power, these shrewd thinkers are organized and efficient. They write lists of things to do and check off items as they complete them. They find solutions very quickly. When they are in power, they can accomplish anything. These powerhouses are among the wealthiest of the Love Colors. For them, there is no such thing as too much money. They always need projects or businesses to work on; without these, they become bored and restless. Being mentally stimulated and taking on tough challenges are strong priorities for them. They are highly competitive and thrive on taking risks. Gambling is common among Greens, whether in the stock market, in the casino, or in business.
When Green Aura Colors are out of power, others have trouble being around them. Green Aura Colors can be so aggressive and opinionated that they intimidate others. These perfectionists often become judgmental, arrogant, and controlling, and when they want something, they want it now.
Green Aura Colors and Violets have many similar qualities, especially when they are out of power. You may want to read the descriptions of both love colors to make sure that you have identified each correctly. In particular, learn about the motives underlying each color’s actions and behaviors.
There are many different Tans: Logical Tan, Sensitive Tan, Environmental Tan, and Abstract Tan. Most of them have very similar qualities, so I discuss relationships with Tan Aura Colors as if they were all one group. For more details on each particular Tan Aura Color, please refer to the book Life Colors.
If you are interested in having a partner who is practical, down to earth, reliable, stable, and a consistent provider, then a Tan is the partner for you. Tan Aura Colors like to figure things out in a logical and no-nonsense way. They are methodical, exploring steps one through ten in a linear fashion. The stable and predictable Tan Aura Colors prefer life to be rational and scientifically explained. And once they make commitments to their partners, they tend to create long-lasting and reliable relationships.
Tan Aura Colors, however, tend to keep their feelings to themselves. If you can get them to discuss their feelings, they will talk about what they “think” they feel. People often appreciate the calm, levelheaded, and sensible Tans. They are drawn to these partners because Tans help them feel secure and comfortable in their home environment. Most office employees are tans. Tan Aura Colors bring home regular paychecks, pay the bills every month, and make conservative long-term investments.
Out of power, Tan Aura Colors can be very narrow-minded. They resist change and are suspicious of anything new — they can get stuck in old patterns. Unless they see the logic or proof supporting something, they tend to reject new concepts and ideas. They can become temperamental, argumentative, and domineering, and may insist you do things their way.
Many people believe they are Tan Aura Colors because they have been raised to think and act like Tans. You may want to read the other colors’ descriptions carefully to make sure you are not another Love Color trapped inside a Tan Aura Colors disguise.
